On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Mining and Gothic Museum Leogang, the Kitzbühel private collection Vogl-Reitter, with a total of 50 panel paintings, sculptures, reliefs and furniture from the Gothic period, will be presented. The collection is supplemented with objects on loan from the Belvedere Vienna, the Esztergom Christian Museum and the Salzburg Museum. With the preservation, retrieval and consolidation of Salzburg’s cultural assets, the special areas of expertise acquired over the past decades are made visible in an exhibition.
The pharmacist’s wife Maria Vogl (1864-1950) from Kitzbühel had a great passion for Gothic art and collected in the immediate vicinity of her hometown Kitzbühel. Among them are sensational objects such as the central part of the Stäber altar of the Margarethenkapelle at St. Peter’s cemetery and a panel painting from the pilgrimage church of Maria Alm am Steinernen Meer.
We buy quality paintings and sculptures and antiques of all periods (antiquity to the present).
Three generations of experience in the art trade at the highest level gives us the opportunity to acquire even significant objects. We are a serious and discreet partner for single objects, whole collections and estates.
We are looking forward to your contact with our gallery.
